A wealthy German beer garden boss has gone on trial for the brutal murder of his girlfriend whom he stabbed to death and then stuffed her body inside a wall before carrying on life as usual, a court has heard.
Accused Lehel L., 47, is believed to have killed his girlfriend Luminita P., 48, back in July 2024, and then claimed she had left him and moved to live in Greece, the prosecution told the Stuttgart Regional Court in Germany on Friday, 2nd May.
Lehel L., originally from Romania, allegedly stabbed Luminita repeatedly and then covered her dead body with insulation material and walled it in at his pub.

Friends had grown suspicious after hearing nothing from Luminita for weeks.
Luminita, also from Romania, had a 26-year-old son living in her home country.
The young man, who was not named, told the court in his testimony: "I phoned Lehel and asked where my mum was.
"He told me she had gone to Greece with a Greek man. He said she always calls from there with a withheld number.”
But the son did not believe him and contacted the police in Germany.

Police began a massive search and eventually, their cadaver dogs raised the alarm at the "Kelterstuble" pub.
The police tore down a wall and found the skeletal remains of Luminita inside.
When asked about his missing girlfriend, the defendant is said to have merely shrugged.
A neighbour recalled: “You couldn't tell anything was wrong, he carried on running his pub as usual.”
Lehel L. and his guests apparently did not let the mood be dampened either.
The neighbour added: “As always, there was plenty of alcohol and loud music until the early hours.”
In court, the defendant denied all charges, stating, "I’m not guilty at all."
The motive behind the murder so far remains unclear.
Lehel L. came to Germany in 2015 to work in construction. Before that, he served five and a half years in prison in Romania for tax evasion.
The trial is scheduled to have eight hearings. A verdict is expected on 26th June.
