A dashcam video has captured the moment a four-person electric scooter, including one rider perched on another's shoulders, sped across a faded pedestrian crossing, startling motorists and pedestrians alike.
The incident occurred in the city of Ivanovo, located northeast of Moscow, Russia's capital, on 30th April.

The footage shows a motorist slowing down at a barely visible zebra crossing to allow two women to cross.
Suddenly, an electric scooter carrying three people, with a fourth balancing on the shoulders of the middle rider, enters from the left and swiftly traverses the crossing before vanishing from view.
Local authorities are reportedly investigating the incident to identify the individuals involved and assess potential violations of traffic safety regulations.
This event highlights growing concerns over electric scooter safety in Russia.
According to Dmitry Mitroshin, head of the Scientific Center for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, deaths involving electric scooters and similar devices increased by over 25 per cent last year (2024), with most fatalities occurring in Moscow and the Krasnodar Territory.
