This footage shows a taxi driver's lightning-fast reflexes as he swerves to avoid a pedestrian who fell right in front of his car.

The incident took place in Zanevsky Prospect, in St Petersburg, in Russia, on Wednesday, 23rd April.

The footage, filmed on the dashcam of another car, shows the white taxi driving along a road when the pedestrian stumbles and falls right in front of the vehicle.

The driver immediately swerves to the right and misses the pedestrian by inches before carrying on down the road.

It is currently unclear if the pedestrian suffered any injuries and if the police are investigating the incident.
