This the tiger mum moment a fearless mother takes on two armed motorbike muggers as they try to rob her daughter outside the family home.

CCTV security footage filmed in Cucuta, Colombia, on 13th May shows the two thugs blocking the girl's way as she tries to set off on her scooter.

While one pulls a handgun the other tries to snatch her bag until her furious mum tears out of the house.

She first takes on the gunman but slaps him aside when he levels his pistol at her before scaring away the thief searching her daughter.

Then she turns back to the gunman knocking him and his bike to the floor before pushing her daughter behind her and keeping the thugs at bay.

Finally as the clip ends the two would-be-thieves flee empty-handed.

According to authorities, security camera footage is being reviewed to identify the attackers and determine their whereabouts.

So far, no arrests have been reported, but the police have requested the public's assistance in providing information that may lead to locating the criminals, who fled on motorcycles along a nearby road.
