A 14-year-old girl was torn apart and eaten by a young lion as she walked too close to a big game wildlife park in Kenya.
The victim, named as Peace Mwende, was reportedly dragged off by the big cat as she walked to her home in Rongai, a shanty town suburb of Nairobi, on 20th April, with a friend.

Her horrified pal raised the alarm, but when keepers from Nairobi National Park found her remains near Mbagathi River, just 20 per cent of her body was left, according to local media reports.
Experts believe the juvenile lion had strayed from the park, looking for food at Peace's village.

Local media reports say that the rapidly expanding village of Rongai has spread and is now too close to the park for safety.
Three sides of the refuge are fenced off to divert wildlife heading to Nairobi, just six miles (10 kilometres) away, with one side left open to allow animals to migrate.

Scores of lions, buffalo, giraffes, leopards and cheetahs roam the grounds freely.
Trackers from the Kenyan Wildlife Service are trying to find the killer lion.
