This is the miracle moment a man narrowly escapes being crushed to death by a falling crane, said to be 22 storeys high.

The incident took place in Nanjing, in Jiangsu province, in China, on 27th April.

The video shows the man standing and looking at his phone while other people get out of the way, apparently noticing the crane toppling over.

But the man is oblivious and still staring at his screen when the crane comes crashing down on top of him, with him dodging at the very last second as it smashes into a pile of concrete bricks right next to him as he ducks for cover.

The emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, including the police, firefighters and medics.

Local media reports said that miraculously, there were no casualties in the incident, and even the crane operator survived.

It is currently unclear what caused the crane to topple over, with the authorities investigating the incident.
