This is the moment a lawyer who allegedly beheaded a woman and murdered her six-year-old son is led away by police.
The Sverdlovsk Regional Court in Russia heard how Alexander Gorka, 49, brutally murdered Olga Soroka, 42, who was allegedly his lover, and her six-year-old son, after she left her husband on 10th November 2024.
Her head was found in a forest near Serov, also in Sverdlovsk Oblast, with the footage showing the accused being arrested by the police.
Husband Dmitry Soroka told local media: "I left for work, this Alexander came to see her, she took her son and went to him. She didn't tell me anything.
"Why she did it, I don't know. They knew each other. When she didn't come back and stopped answering calls, I went to the police."
Dmitry tried to find his wife and his son on his own, posting ads online and asking people to help.
He wrote: "People, please help me find my wife and child. I beg you. Maybe someone saw them. Please contact the Serov police or write to me."
Five months later, on 8th April, locals found the woman's severed head in the snow in a forest.
A forensic examination revealed that the head belonged to Olga.
Investigators say that she and her son had gone to visit Gorka on 10th November.
The Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region said: "During the visit, a conflict arose between the guests and the owner of the house, as a result of which the man killed the woman and her son. After committing the crime, the perpetrator tried to cover his tracks."
The head of the Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, named as Valery Gorelykh, said that after the brutal murders, the suspect was detained in Serov.
The footage shows him being taken into custody by the police in handcuffs.
Dmitry said: "When the news about the head being found appeared, I didn't believe until the very end that it was my wife. But then the police told me. Now I know that my wife and son were killed. I don't know how to live with this."
The defendant, who worked as a lawyer in Serov, has been charged with two counts of murder.
On 18th April, the Serov District Court sent the accused to a detention facility pending trial.
The case is ongoing.
