This is the dramatic moment witnesses thwart a jewellery heist by forcing the axe-wielding thief off his getaway bike and back into the store he just robbed with their car.
Security footage filmed inside the shop in Vanino, in Khabarovsk Krai, eastern Russia, shows the 18-year-old crook, wearing a bike helmet, storming in through an unlocked door on Wednesday evening, 23rd April.
With no time to lose, he begins smashing the glass displays with a small axe and stuffs the gold items into his pockets before running out of the building.
But a security guard spots him as he tries to flee and confronts him outside, a second CCTV footage shows.
The teenage thief then uses a can of pepper spray to ward off the worker as he attempts to flee on his bike.
But a woman in a blue SUV who was parking behind him sees the guard struggling to restrain the robber and drives her car into the bike, knocking it down.
As the teenager keeps attempting to escape she moves closer with her SUV, threatening to run him over and gradually forcing him back into the shop.
A man then exits from the passenger seat and he reportedly helped subdue the armed teen with the security guard off-camera.
They tackled him to the ground and held him until police officers arrived.
The police identified the detained individual as an 18-year-old local resident with no prior criminal record.
The Khabarovsk Krai Police said: "A decision is currently being made regarding the selection of a custodial measure of restraint for the suspect."
