A four-year-old boy was hospitalised after sliding under a car as he tried to avoid being run over while attempting to cross a road.
The incident occurred in the city of Ufa, in the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia, on Monday, 12th May.
According to preliminary information from the city's traffic police, the child was walking in the direction of an approaching Hyundai Solaris when he attempted to run between a moving vehicle and a parked car.
Footage from the scene shows the boy slipping and falling beneath the moving vehicle.
The driver, upon realising something was amiss after a bump, promptly applied the brakes, allowing the child to free himself before the vehicle moved forward slightly and came to a complete stop.
Witnesses immediately attended to the injured child, while the driver and a female passenger exited the vehicle to assess the situation.
The boy was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
There have been no updates on his health condition at the time of writing.
