This is the moment a lorry carrying rubble crashes into a residential house, toppling a wall and destroying part of the property.

The accident took place in Itajai, a city in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, on Tuesday, 6th May.

The cargo appeared to shift while the lorry was navigating a residential area, causing it to tip and slam into the perimeter wall and patio of a private home.

Dramatic CCTV footage from the scene captured the moment the heavily-loaded vehicle rolled sideways and its contents spilled across the yard.

The family was reportedly inside the house at the time, but no injuries were confirmed.

The vehicle had been transporting construction debris through a narrow neighbourhood road when the driver appeared to lose control.

It was the second such incident involving a lorry in Itajai that day.

A different lorry had overturned and damaged a roof just hours earlier in the same area.

Eyewitnesses described hearing a "massive thud" as the lorry reportedly tipped over before slamming into a wall.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, with some online users blaming overloaded vehicles and poorly planned routes.
