This is the wuff justice moment a pack of street dogs knock spots off a hungry leopard after it tried to eat one of their pals.

Grim CCTV footage filmed in Haridwar, northern India, shows how the young big cat had pounced on one pooch curled up sleeping away from the pack in a quiet suburb.

As the stricken pup howls in agony its pals come running and quickly turn the fearsome predator into a big scaredy cat.

The frustrated leopard seems unable to keep up with the quickfire attacks by at least four fearless dogs that dodge its razor-sharp claws and teeth.

And within seconds the cat has clearly had enough and turns tail with the pack in pursuit as the clip, which emerged on social media on 14th May, ends.

The leopard is believed to have entered the neighbourhood from nearby Rajaji National Park, known for its population of wild leopards and tigers.

The dog survived although it is not know how badly it was hurt.
