This footage shows the moment a man carrying two buckets is struck by a car overtaking a stationary bus on a busy bridge.
The buckets appeared to contain white paint, which splashed across the road on impact.
The incident happened on Liteiny Bridge in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia on Saturday, 10th May.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, appeared to be a municipal worker and was crossing the road when the car swerved around a bus and hit him.
The clip shows the worker walking in front of the bus before the car darts out from behind it and crashes into him at speed.
The vehicle involved reportedly belonged to a car-sharing service.
Authorities have not released information on the man's health condition.
Russia's Investigative Committee has opened a case and are reviewing footage from traffic cameras in the area.
The driver is understood to have stopped after the collision and remained at the scene.
