Shocked visitors looked on as a randy couple was filmed having sex in broad daylight on the steps of a national monument with views of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court.

The incident took place in Praca dos Tres Poderes, a public square in the city of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.

Footage circulating online shows the man and woman engaging in a sex act on the edge of the Pantheon of the Fatherland and Freedom, which sits in the heart of the square.

The site is surrounded by the country’s most important government buildings including the National Congress, the Presidential Palace, and the Supreme Federal Court.

Although the date of the video is not confirmed, it appears to have been filmed recently as tourists and bystanders walk through the square.

After the video emerged on social media on 12th May, the 6th Military Police Battalion, which is responsible for surveying the area, stated they have not received an official report on the incident.

It is currently unclear if police are searching for the couple, who may be faced with up to one year in jail for obscenity if charged.
