A 10-year-old girl was hospitalised after being struck by a fast-moving taxi while crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing.
The incident occurred on Vladimirskaya Street in the city of Anapa, located in the Krasnodar Krai region of southern Russia on Tuesday, 6th May.
According to local police, the girl was using an unregulated pedestrian crossing when she was hit by a Lada Vesta taxi driven by a 32-year-old man.
Footage from a dashboard camera shows the girl beginning to cross after one vehicle stops to let her pass.
As she proceeds, she notices the approaching taxi and attempts to run across, but collides with the side of the vehicle and is thrown backwards.
The girl sustained injuries of varying severity and was transported to Anapa City Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
