A scooter rider was injured after colliding with a white transit van at a packed level crossing.

The incident occurred at an intersection where CCTV footage captured the scooter entering the crossing and striking the side of the van in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Wednesday, 7th May.

The rider was thrown to the ground and appeared to be in significant pain following the impact.

The footage shows a car dashcam filming at the intersection as the van approaches and the scooter enters the crossing.

There have been no updates on the health condition of the unnamed rider at the time of writing.
