A taxi driver whose car broke down mid-journey was struck by two vehicles in quick succession on a busy road, as this shocking footage shows.

The incident occurred on the Moscow Ring Road in the Mitino area, a city district in northwest Moscow, Russia, on Saturday, 3rd May.

CCTV footage shows how the driver had exited his vehicle to inspect the breakdown when a Gazelle van collided with the car, followed moments later by a lorry.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate confirmed that one person died in the incident, although they did not reveal their identity.

The incident is understood to be under investigation.
