A gold-masked rapper jailed for drugs trafficking is set to become a dad after his wife told how she had been made pregnant during a prison visit, just months after suffering a miscarriage.
Hip-hop star 18 Karat, real name Ivo Vieira Silva, is serving six-year behind bars in Dortmund, Germany, where he married his 31-year-old wife Maya.
She fell pregnant during an earlier conjugal visit but tragically miscarried just three months later, according to a doctor's note she shared online six months ago (Nov 2024).

The couple had conceived their first child during intimate meetings on a rubber mattress on the prison’s so-called ‘love cell’.
Now Maya has told how they are expecting a baby daughter after another session behind bars.
In an Instagram post to her 530,000 followers on 12th May, Germany's Mother's Day, she showed a new ultrasound image of her foetus.
She told local media: "It's a girl and her estimated date of birth is exactly on Ivo's birthday, 21st September."

When Maya first fell pregnant she posted an image of a tattoo reading 'Daddy' to announce the baby to her Instagram followers.
She later revealed her agonising miscarriage with a haunting post showing two ultrasound images and a candle.
Her heartbreaking caption said: "Even if your little feet never touch the ground, your traces are still there."
Known for wearing a full-face gold mask during his shows, 18 Karat was a star in the German rap scene before his imprisonment in 2022.

He could reportedly be released from jail to attend the baby's birth but will have to go back behind bars to finish his sentence.
Even after that he could still be extradited to Portugal to face further drugs charges, it has emerged.
Brave Maya said: "We've always had to follow stony paths. But even this has never been an obstacle for us ."
