A Catholic nursery school teacher has been fired over her OnlyFans career and may now face legal action from her former employer, it has emerged.

The incident happened in Maserada sul Piave, a town in Italy's Treviso province, and became public on 7th May.

Elena Maraga, 29, lost her job at the parish-run nursery school after parents complained about her adult content on OnlyFans.

The school’s board upheld her dismissal and is now reportedly preparing to seek damages, claiming her side hustle harmed the institution’s image.

Elena had initially defended her actions, stating she did her teaching job professionally and that her contract did not prohibit her social media activity.

She said: "In 2025, there should no longer be taboos of this type that can condition a person in their entirety."

The school rejected this defence and confirmed her firing, saying the situation posed reputational risks.

The school is reportedly ready to seek financial compensation from Elena, with the institution’s leadership believing her online work clashed with Catholic values.

The diocese is considering further steps, although no formal legal filing has yet been confirmed.

Support for Elena has been mixed, with some parents backing the school and others standing by her.
