A 15-year-old girl has died electrocuted by her charging phone while unplugging it from the socket after she had just taken a shower.
Simone de Cassia Galdino suffered the fatal electric shock at her home in the municipality of Riacho de Santo Antonio, in the Brazilian state of Paraiba, on Friday, 11th April.
The police said that Simone was taking a shower and decided to remove the mobile phone that was charging in a socket in the bathroom.

But when she went to remove the device, she suffered a strong electric shock and fell unconscious.
Medics were called to the scene and provided first aid but she did not survive and was pronounced dead.

The City Hall of Riacho de Santo Antonio issued a statement mourning Simone's death and suspended classes in the town on Friday, as well as a futsal championship that was scheduled to take place on the same day.
It is understood that the police are investigating the teenage girl's death.
