A rapper was shot dead in a hail of bullets by motorbike assassins as he argued with his pregnant ex-girlfriend outside his home.
Victim Matheus Silva Gomes, 32, known to fans as Bertiolli, had been fighting with his 23-year-old ex over BRL 100 (GBP 12) she said she owed him.

But as the couple fought outside the rapper's home in Belo Horizonte, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, on 13th April, two gunmen roared up on a motorcycle and opened fire.
Critically wounded, Gomes fled indoors and out into the garden but was followed by the hitmen, who finished him off with a second volley of shots.

Bertiolli became known for songs such as "Catarse" and "Clima de Favela", which together have reportedly amassed nearly 550,000 views on YouTube.
Fellow rapper Djonga mourned the loss on social media, saying: "Tired of losing my brothers to this. We try, but we can’t do everything. Love you, my brother. See you on the other side."

Military Police, who are investigating the shooting, say they recovered 11 spent 9mm cases at the property.
