This is the moment farm workers were stunned to find a young wolf curled up in the straw beside their calves inside a cowshed.
The unusual discovery was made in the village of Tmajevci, near the town of Zabljak in northern Montenegro, and was reported on 2nd March.
Video shows the animal lying quietly in the straw in the corner of the stable, resting beside the young cattle.
The wolf was discovered early in the morning when workers entered the shed and saw it lying quietly among the calves.
Mirceta Zekovic, an employee at the farm, said they believe the animal entered through a small window left open for ventilation.
He said: “We assume he entered the stable through a small window that we keep open to make it more ventilated for the cows. In my opinion, he slipped through that window and when he saw he couldn’t get out, he continued to lie there calmly next to the calves.”
He said the wolf appeared frightened when it noticed people and remained still for more than half an hour.

The worker added: “Only after some time did he get up, move to the other side and run out of the stable back into nature.
“The other cows were very frightened when they sensed him, but everything was quickly under control.
“The wolf was extremely scared and did not attack anyone. We did not touch him, but let him return to nature.”
The animal is believed to have been about one year old.
