This is the moment three boys are seen climbing out of a window and making their way down a snow-covered rooftop of a high-rise building.

The incident took place at a residential compound in Fengqiu County, in the city of Xinxiang, Henan province, China, on 21st January.

Video filmed by a resident shows the three boys exiting through a top-floor window and stepping onto the roof, which is covered in patches of unmelted snow.

The footage shows the boys carefully moving down the sloped rooftop and onto a parapet, barely managing not to slip during the descent.

The person filming said they contacted the property management company after seeing the children on the roof and becoming concerned about the safety risk.

Property management staff said they received the report and carried out checks, but the children had already left the area when staff arrived.

They said residents were reminded to supervise their children and the rooftop access point was sealed.

Inspections were also carried out on other buildings to identify and address similar safety hazards.
