Video footage has emerged showing Thailandâs Prime Minister partying and singing with friends while Thai and Cambodian youths face the consequences of his continued attacks on the Thai-Cambodian border.
In one scene, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul joyfully sang Thai folk songs with a rock band as his militaryâs F-16s destroyed Cambodian bridges and the Thai government threatens to cut his neighborâs oil supply.
Critics inside Thailand are also concerned that Anutin is not attending to thousands of families stranded in the Hat Yai floods and many more whose homes have been devastated.

Saturday, Anutin snubbed President Trump's calls for peace by renewing airstrikes following a private phone call with the leader of the free world.
By contrast to the videos of Anutin palling around with elites, a young officer from the Thai military recorded a video of his description of the war the Thai Prime Minister provocatively stoking.
âRight now I am staying safe. They fight, we fight, there is all types of fighting going on, there are dead bodies all over the ground and I havenât even showered or brushed my teeth,â the young Thai officer told the camera as loud shelling is heard in the background.
âFighting in the war is not as fun as I thought it was. It is worse than I imagined. Itâs not like it is in the movies, not even a single bit,â he said.

Meanwhile, a heartbreaking video testimony recorded of two young Cambodian girls shows the toll the Thai invasion is taking on local children in the north of the country.
âAt 7am I heard a gunshot. At that point, no one had evacuated our school yet. When I heard it again, everyone began fleeing the school suddenly. I didnât dare leave my mother behind but my mother told me, âkid, you go first, Iâll follow behind you,â but I just couldnât bring myself to leave her there,â one of the girls said.
âAll I wish is to return home and see my Dad again and reunite with my loved ones,â the second girl said with tears pouring down her cheeks.

Anutinâs refusal to acknowledge a ceasefire reached between Thailand and Cambodia under the supervision of President Trump in October is causing human rights activists and Republican policymakers in Washington some alarm.
This week, Anutin vowed to keep the pressure on Cambodian villages after completely destroying a bridge and civilian infrastructure in the south and waging more fighting in the north.
