Russia has released footage it claims shows a wounded soldier as he was being carried two kilometres to safety by his comrade.
The video was published by the Ministry of Defence on 22nd September and was said to have been filmed on the frontlines in Ukraine.
The footage captures part of the evacuation, showing the platoon commander lifting the injured man onto his shoulders.
The wounded soldier is motionless as his comrade walks across open ground.
Explosions sound in the distance as the commander continues the evacuation.
At the end of the video, the soldier reaches other troops and hands over the injured man to an evacuation team.
Russia did not provide names or further details of the men shown, and no quotes were released.
Officials said the commander had carried his comrade for more than two kilometres (1.2 miles) and has been nominated for the Order of Courage.
The claims could not be independently verified.
