This is the moment a bull destroys a car parked on the street during a traditional bull run in a small Spanish town.

The incident happened during the patron saint festivities in Tendilla, Spain, on Sunday, 14th September.

Footage shared on social media shows two people hiding on the far side of a black Peugeot as the bull charges at the vehicle.

The animal repeatedly rams the car to get at them, smashing it across the road and demolishing a small tree and a post.

The two people can be seen running off and disappearing through a doorway into a house while the bull continues attacking the vehicle.

The video also shows the animal using its horns to rip off chunks of the car and throw them across the street.

When the bull finally leaves, neighbours gather to check on the wrecked vehicle.

It had dents, scratches, and severe damage.

Another bull also attacked the car minutes later, according to reports, and it even injured one of its horns and began to bleed profusely.

The video sparked a wide-ranging debate about the use of animals as entertainment for humans. One person wrote: "What did they expect, that the animal would take out a rag and start polishing the car? Leave them alone and free, that's where they belong."

Another commented: "The shameful image of every summer. Stop enjoying animal abuse."
