The photo taken with her daughter and husband was one of the last images captured before she collapsed.
According to her daughter-in-law Lucimar Ribeiro, Marli fell ill suddenly without any prior symptoms.
Paramedics were called to the venue and attempted first aid at the scene, but she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Lucimar said: "It's very sad that it happened at such an important time for the parents and for the bride. Marli was a wonderful person."
Marli was the mother of three children - Bianca, Marcio and Elvis - and had two grandchildren. She had been married to her husband Devanir for 51 years.
Her niece paid tribute on social media, saying: "It still hasn't sunk in, she was so beautiful, happy, and radiant. I still can't believe it."
The funeral took place at the National Chapel of Ivaipora on Sunday, 3rd August.
