A couple born on the same day died together in a horror high-speed motorcycle crash on their way home from their joint 27th birthday party.

Gregory Mayllon and Nicolly Morais de Melo were both killed when their bike veered off a motorway in Sao Jose, in Greater Florianopolis, in the state of Santa Catarina, in Brazil, on 20th July.

A haunting last picture of the couple shows them kissing in front of their shared birthday cake at a celebration barbecue.

The couple, say friends, had only begun dating two weeks earlier after they realised they shared the same date of birth.

One relative told local media: "They were very happy, they had celebrated with us only a few hours earlier. It’s unbelievable."

Mayllon, who was in control of the bike. worked as a motorcycle app driver, according to Nicolly's friends, local media reported.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
