A supercar superfan has shown how he turned a modest GBP 2,000 Ford Ka banger into a head-turning Ferrari lookalike.
Businessman Daniel dos Santos, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, snapped up the clapped-out hatchback at auction for just BRL 16,000 (GBP 2,123) with plans to turn it into his dream car.
Now Daniel has put the bizarre hybrid on show after putting in hundreds of hours of hard work converting the family runabout.
A video of the transformed car shows how Daniel has learned from other replica fans, whose motors are ruthlessly hunted down and scrapped by the Italian supercar creators.
Instead of badging it a Ferrari, Daniel has had stickers made up in the same font calling his car a 'Ka-rrari'.

And the real thing's icon, a black prancing thoroughbred on a yellow badge, has been replaced with a grinning donkey.
Outside, Daniel has replaced the flimsy original Ford doors with a pair of Lamborghini-style scissor doors.
And inside he has installed racing-style leather seats and a digital dashboard.

Under the bonnet, though, he has left the one-litre Ford engine untouched, which means its weedy 72 bhp could never touch the 199 mph top speed of Ferrari's SF90 XX.
Even so, Daniel reckons he has boosted the Ka's value to at least BRL 190,000 (GBP 25,194).

Daniel explained: "The idea is to transform an ugly car into a beautiful one."
