A car owner has baffled police and locals after turning his bonnet into a large water tank complete with several live carp inside it.
Video footage filmed in Shenyang, China, shows at least six fish underneath an invisible layer of film on the bonnet of an electric SUV.
The video, shared on 10th July, then shows the owner, named as Mr Liu, pressing down on the puffed-up car film apparently demonstrating it is made of durable, elastic material that will not break easily.
Liu, who specialises in car modifications, explained that he came up with the bizarre design while he was fishing one day but forgot to bring a bucket.
On a whim, he decided to pour water and fish between the car film and the protective layer installed on top of the bonnet of his vehicle.
He poured the water in through the car's bonnet and then simply slipped the fish inside.
Later, he recreated the situation and this time put several carp inside and filmed it.

The clip quickly drew the attention of the Shenyang Public Security Bureau, which warned that the modification is considered illegal and cannot be allowed on the road.
But Liu assures that he only recreated the peculiar design just for fun and did not intend on taking the vehicle out into traffic.
He acknowledged that the act carries risks and urged others not to copy it, stressing that safety should always come first when travelling.
