This is the moment a family escapes a landslide at the last second and it is so strong it easily pins an excavator against their house with the terrified driver trapped inside.

The images were filmed in Jingu Village, Jingu Township, Hechi City, in Guangxi, in China, on 29th June.

CCTV images of the scene show people noticing something is wrong with an embankment to the left of the screen.

All of a sudden, the earth gives way and slides towards the building, pushing the digger with ease as one woman scrambles to get out of the way and avoid being swept up too.

Meanwhile, the man operating the machine sits trapped in his cabin as the landslide shoves it into a wall almost crushing the digger against it.

Thankfully, it comes to a sudden stop leaving him unharmed.

No casualties were reported, with local media saying that the local authorities sent geological experts to the scene to investigate.

Staff from the Natural Resources Bureau of Donglan County, Hechi City, said that they need to wait for staff to complete the on-site assessment before they can carry out the cleanup work.
