A woman's boob implants saved her from a frenzied hostage taker when he stabbed her 22 times in a shopping centre car park.

The terrified victim, named only as Ms Ma, was held at knifepoint in the MixC shopping centre in Hangzhou, in eastern China, as she returned to her car on 22nd May.

Her attacker, not named in local media on 13th June, first snatched her and then demanded that she pay the parking charge so they could leave.

Instead, 29-year-old Ma managed to send an SOS message to her boyfriend, who tracked her phone and alerted the police, who sent officers to the scene.

But when officers surrounded the car, the knifeman repeatedly stabbed Ma in the chest before killing himself.

Ma was rushed to hospital but astonished medics discovered that although she had been stabbed 22 times, only one knife blow had pierced her torso.

The others, Ma said later, had been deflected or absorbed by her breast implants.

She explained: "We counted more than 20 wounds.

"Fortunately, I'd had breast augmentation surgery before and the prosthesis blocked the fatal blows.

"Only one knife wound injured my lung."

Ma is said to be recovering from the attack.
