This is the prawn crackers moment a burly cop pins a woman to the ground and puts his gun to her head during a chaotic brawl outside a Chinese restaurant.

National guard officers were called out in Khabarovsk, southern Russia, when a fight between tourists spilled out onto the street on 31st May.

Phone footage of the sprawling scrap shows one burly officer trying to restrain a ringleader on the ground.

Without warning, a slightly-built woman creeps up behind him and slaps him hard around the ear.

Within seconds the clearly furious officer has planted her face into a concrete step and has his Makarov handgun's barrel pushing into her temple.

Borrowing handcuffs from another officer he restrains the woman and hauls her off for questions as the police withdraw and the clip ends.

It later emerged, reports Russia's state-run news agency Tass, that the officer was treated in hospital for a burst eardrum.

A Russian Federation Investigative Committee statement said: "A criminal case has been opened for the use of violence against a government official in the performance of his official duties."

Offenders if convicted can be jailed for up to 10 years.

Two other suspects were also detained.
