A mum-of-seven died in a gruesome freak boating accident when her hair became trapped in an outboard motor and snapped her neck.
Victim Maria da Conceicao Avelino de Vasconcelos's grimly contorted corpse was found adrift in the boat on the Sao Francisco River, near Botirama, in the Brazilian state of Bahia, on 2nd June.
Police photos show that the force of the engine was so great that her head had been pulled right around to face backwards.
Further photos showed large hanks of her black, wavy hair still stuck in the outboard motor.

Maria, 45, had been found adrift by locals near her home on Ilha do Saco.
Her body has been sent to a forensic institute for an autopsy.
Maria leaves behind seven children.

The police have not released further details regarding the incident or the victim's identity.
The authorities are investigating the cause of death as well as the circumstances surrounding the case.
