A cheeky youngster stunned drivers by leaping off the back of a moving bus during a stop, only to hop right back on when it pulled away again.

The bizarre scene unfolded on Artists Avenue in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on 27th May.

Footage shared online shows the boy already clinging to the rear of the city bus as it rolls to a stop in traffic.

He casually drops to the ground, takes a few steps away from the vehicle, then jogs back and climbs back on as it starts moving.

No injuries were reported and it is unclear whether the driver was aware of the extra passenger.

There has been no official response from local transport authorities.
