A university professor has been arrested for planning the murder of a man who was shot in the back of head at one of Europe's largest train stations in a revenge attack over the death of a Turkish strawberry farmer weeks earlier.
Dr Ali O., 33, was seized by German police in Baden-Wurttemberg on Tuesday morning, 27th May over the killing of 27-year-old Abdul Kadir E. that is believed to have been part of a so-called blood feud.

The shooting took place at the busy Frankfurt Central Station and was captured on CCTV as the 54-year-old attacker who carried out the crime ambushed Abdul in August 2024.
The footage showed how the gunman, named as Ali O.'s relative Kemal O., snuck up on the victim from behind and shot him in the head as terrified passengers ran for their lives.
He then moved closer to the victim and fired several additional shots before attempting to flee the site and casting the weapon aside.
Police caught him a few metres away from the crime scene and arrested him. The murder weapon was discovered during a search later.
It has now emerged that the shooter planned the killing together with Dr Ali O. as revenge for the murder of their relative, strawberry farmer Ahmet O., 46, who was killed in Turkey earlier that month.
The exact details of the family feud currently remain unclear.
Father-of-one Ali O., who has a a PhD in business administration and is a university lecturer at EM Strasbourg Business School in France, is also accused of involving another relative in the murder plot.
The third suspect, a 28-year-old man who was not named, was also seized by police on Tuesday.
He is believed to have attempted to intercept and kill the victim earlier at Mainz Central Station, which is one stop before Frankfurt.
A fourth man, also not named, is suspected of having played an active role in planning the murder.
Dr Ali O.’s lawyer refused to comment on the allegations.
Prosecutors also refused to say if he had any prior police record.
The investigation is ongoing.
