A cement mixer lorry has run over and crushed a woman security guard at a construction site.

The tragedy happened in the city of Belogorsk in Russia's Amur Oblast province on Monday, 26th May.

The horrific moment was caught on CCTV, showing the woman walking slowly across the path of the huge orange tipper truck.

The 45-year-old was fatally crushed under the front wheels of the lorry as it drove into the compound.

Local reports said the driver did not notice her until it was too late.

The driver immediately got out of the cab and appeared to be in shock as he stood over the woman’s body.

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene and confirmed the woman died instantly.

Officials launched an investigation and are examining whether safety protocols were followed correctly.

One online user commented: "There should have been proper visibility checks and movement coordination. This was completely avoidable."

The woman, who has not yet been named, had reportedly worked at the site for several years and was known for her diligence.

Another viewer posted: "You can see from the video she was taking careful steps. It’s heartbreaking."

The KamAZ truck involved is a common model used in Russia for heavy industrial and construction work.

The firm operating the site has not commented publicly.
