A road rage driver violently attacked a taxi driver over a lane dispute — and was shockingly joined by his sandwich-munching female companion, who dashed in to throw a few kicks of her own.

The brutal beating happened in Kudrovo, a town in the Vsevolozhsk District of the Leningrad Region, in Russia, on 29th May.

Stunned motorists reportedly said that the taxi driver had refused to let a blue Chevrolet squeeze in during a lane merge, sparking the violent confrontation.

One witness said: "The taxi driver did not let the Chevrolet pass. Then a fight broke out."

Dashcam footage shows the Chevrolet driver speeding up as the road narrowed, trying and failing to cut in front of the KIA taxi.

The taxi continues at a steady pace, indicating to change lanes at the appropriate time.

The Chevrolet driver took it as a personal insult, leapt from his car and began attacking the taxi driver with fists and feet.

To the surprise of other drivers, his female passenger quickly followed — sandwich still in hand — and joined in, lashing out at the victim with a flurry of kicks.

Horns blared from cars stuck behind as the pair continued the beatdown in the middle of the carriageway.

It is unknown if the taxi driver was injured or could continue his shift after the incident.
