This is the horrifying moment a two-year-old toddler is hanged to death by the bars of his cot in a private kindergarten.
Hard-to-watch security CCTV footage from the nursery's dormitory in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 19th May show the tot trying to climb out of his cot.
But as he slips his body through the widely spaced side rails his head becomes trapped and he dangles helplessly with his feet barely able to touch the floor.
As he is slowly throttled to death, his movements become weaker and he desperately tries to get onto his tiptoes.
Shockingly he was allowed to choke for 20 minutes while a tutor had left the dorm unsupervised.
When she rushes back in she sees the motionless tot hanging limply by his neck and manages to get him free.
But as she swings him up on her shoulder there are no signs of life as she runs from the room to get help as the clip closes.
It later emerged that the the 29-year-old woman had been acting as an off-the-books assistant teacher at the Savolu Javob nursery since May 2023.
Justice officials are investigating the death and safety standards at the nursery.
One teacher has been arrested, others are reportedly under investigation and the kindergarten's director is being quizzed by prosecutors.
An official statement by the Interior Ministry said: "The child died due to insufficient safety and health provisions in the private kindergarten.
"We are issuing urgent recommendations to all kindergartens to inspect their sleeping arrangements and ensure full compliance with safety standards."
Reports suggest the nursery had 19 children registered, with only three staff members on duty on the day of the tragedy.
