An actress whose worried fans saw her arms turn blue at a star-studded Cannes Film Festival party has told how her designer dress was so heavy it cut off her blood supply.
Brazilian star Marina Ruy Barbosa sparked a flurry of worried queries when red carpet photos from the bash showed what looked like severe bruising from her shoulders down.
Marina had been attending the exclusive event at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes in the South of France with celebs and stars like Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Her gown, by exclusive designer Balmain, featured a bustier top with two golden straps fixed to a bustled floor-length skirt weighed down with hundreds of huge crystals.
But fans were so alarmed by the 29-year-old star's swollen veins and and blue arms they turned to social media to ask if she was unwell.
It was only then that she revealed her blood flow had been severely restricted by the massive weight hanging from the shoulder straps.

She told her TikTok followers: "The dress weighed more than 15 kg [33 lbs]."
After the amfAR Gala on 22nd May Marina took to Instagram, where she has more than 42 million followers, to thank Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing.

"Your creativity amazes me. I have no words to thank the entire @balmain team and my own team for this night." (sic)
As well as being one of Brazil's most beloved actresses, Marina has also built a successful career as a fashion icon with luxury brand partnerships with Cartier and Dolce & Gabbana.
