A jailed neo-Nazi who changed his gender to female in an apparent bid to serve time in a softer jail has been told he will still serve his 18-month sentence in a men's prison.
Bearded Sven Liebich, who now calls himself Marla-Svenja Liebich, was convicted nine months ago (August 2024) in Germany for inciting racial hatred.

One of the exhibits at his trial was a baseball bat with the label Abschiebehelfer, or 'deportation helper'.
Since his conviction, the hardcore neo-Nazi firebrand has tried everything to stay out of jail, including changing gender under self-determination laws.
Now judges at the Naumburg Higher Regional Court have turned down his final appeal and ordered Liebich to serve his full sentence without parole in a men's prison.
Since his conviction, Liebich says he has withdrawn from public life and lived as a woman claiming he would be attacked in a men's jail.
He said: "I don't want to be discriminated against."
Judges, however, were told that despite Liebech's fears, he still dressed and looked like a man and had done nothing to indicate his new claimed gender.
Before his conviction 53-year-old Liebich's 'Monday Demos' in Halle had become notorious.
For more than a decade, he urged his far-right supporters to threaten refugees, gays, immigrants and anyone not Christian, his trial heard.
The ruling on 14th May follows sentencing scandals in Germany where trans inmates in women's jails have assaulted female prisoners.
Liebich's legal team has not commented on the decision.
