This is the instant car-ma moment a jealous husband is seized by police after he mows down his ex wife with a car when he sees her with another man.

Shocking CCTV footage from Istanbul, Turkey, on 11th May, shows the blue saloon as it lurches up onto the pavement threatening the victim and the man with her.

As they shelter behind a tree, the wife, named only as Merve K., is seen texting frantically for help on her phone.

The car backs off, but only to get a a better angle of attack and seconds later bounces up the kerb again this time hitting Merve and knocking her backwards down a garage ramp.

As she lands head-first heavily on the concrete surface, her new man runs down to check her injuries.

The car hit her with such force that its front bumper can be seen hanging off as her ex, named only as Cihan N., reverses out and flees.

Passersby called police, who later arrested the driver at his nearby home.

He was charged with intentional injury, threats, and violating a restraining order and is being held in pre-trial custody.

Paramedics rushed his ex to hospital where she was treated for cuts and severe bruising.
