This is the ruck-whack moment motorbike muggers are sent packing when they are battered senseless by their intended victim with her backpack.

Street cam footage from Medellin, Colombia, shows the girl dressed in cycle shorts and a lycra crop top talking on her phone as she strides along the pavement and out of shot.

Moments later an out-of-control motorcycle come tearing the other way with their would-be victim swinging her backpack.

Panicking, the biker loses control of the vehicle and crashes into a parked car spilling off both him and his pillion passenger.

Instead of running off, the girl moves on and carries with her merciless battering of the pair.

Even when one jumps up and threatens her she stands her ground until the pair flee empty handed as the clip, recorded on 30th April, closes.

Her heroic handbagging inspired social media users in one of the most crime-ridden cities in the world.

One Facebook user wrote: "That woman is a true hero! It's inspiring to see someone stand up to criminals like that."

And an Instagram user wrote: "She really taught them a lesson they won't forget."

Then another added: "It takes guts to do what she did. Full respect to her."
