This footage shows a 16-year-old girl being thrown from a Lada after the door flew open in a crash when the vehicle was turning off, but was smashed into by another car.

The incident took place in the Volgograd region, Russia, at around 9:45 am on Friday, 18th April.

The video shows the car indicating left and preparing to turn into a side street when another vehicle comes up behind it and smashes into it, hitting its side and pushing it, with the 16-year-old girl falling from the vehicle before it rolls down an embankment.

Local media reported that the victim, not named, required hospital treatment.

It is believed that the police are investigating the incident.
